Hi! I'm your coach, Laren Watson

I’m a board-certified holistic health coach, double cancer survivor, author, and Founder of The Permanent Remission Project.


After years of leading a healthy lifestyle and helping my clients to do the same, the shock of my life came in the form of not one – but two aggressive and difficult to treat cancers!


I went through hell and back, but ultimately a blend of heavy-duty research, holistic practices, and traditional treatments saved my life. Combining my own personal experiences and newfound immune expertise, I wrote a book – WTF?! I Have Cancer?


Now that I’m in remission, the goal is to keep it that way!

That’s why I’ve dedicated my post-cancer life to helping fellow cancer warriors win their battles without losing their zest for life to uncertainty, fear, and anxiety. The Permanent Remission Project exists to address the “What now?” feeling that comes when treatment is over and our doctors say, “Okay, see you in 3 months!”

WEEK ONE
MANAGING YOUR STRESS

To begin, we’ll address our greatest fear – "What if the cancer comes back?” and discuss how the stress caused by this fear affects our bodies. You’ll learn how to manage anxiety using natural tools within the body, mind and spirit.

WEEK TWO
EATING FOR IMMUNE HEALTH

In this session, we’ll uncover why it’s so important for cancer survivors to boost the immune system. You’ll learn the role foods play in our health, and which foods to eat or avoid for a thriving immune system.

WEEK THREE
STAYING POSITIVE + OPTIMISTIC

This week, we’ll take a look at the scientifically-proven influence that acceptance, optimism, and happiness has on healing. You’ll gain tools for taking control of your thoughts and affirmative words to promote health.

WEEK FOUR
RITUALS FOR A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP

Next, we’ll cover the huge importance of sleep for your healing and overall health. You’ll examine your own sleep rituals and learn how to create practices that will greatly improve the quality of your sleep.

WEEK FIVE
THE HEALING POWER OF FORGIVENESS

In this session, we’ll explore how our emotions affect our health. We’ll focus on the power of forgiveness and releasing past pain, which holds the potential to heal us both mentally and physically.

WEEK SIX
REBUILDING YOUR STRENGTH + GUT HEALTH

Now, it’s time to focus on rebuilding your strength. We’ll take on safely restoring your strength through proven fitness practices, as well as improving your gut through a combination of detoxification and reducing chemical exposure.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What if I’m unavailable during the live coaching calls?
I offer one live group coaching session per week. However, the calls are recorded and you’ll receive a full-length replay afterwards, whether you attend or not!

Do I need to print the downloadable resources?
That’s your call! You can print them and fill them out by hand, or do so digitally.

Will I need special equipment for the exercise portion?
It’d be helpful to have a yoga mat, some light handheld weights, and a jump rope, but the majority of the exercises can be done using your own body weight!

What if I'm not on Facebook?
That's okay. During our live coaching calls, you'll have the opportunity to get support from your fellow survivors. But the free private Facebook Group is where a lot of the support and bonding can happen.

I've never used Zoom. Is it complicated?
Not at all! It is a free platform that only requires access to the internet through your laptop, tablet or smartphone. You will receive a link and you simply click it to join the call. It's that easy. No log-in necessary. Be aware that it has video capabilities and we do like to see each other, but you can turn off video if you're not up for that.

I'm kind of overwhelmed as it is. Is there a lot of homework?
Each week there are a couple of suggested assignments. You will get the most out of the program if you participate fully by doing the assignments but nothing is required.

Will I have to change my diet drastically?
The food suggestions in the program are basic recommended guidelines for optimal health. Nothing is extreme. The more you take on the diet recommendations, the better you will feel; but nothing is required.
